Months in Spanish are similar to English. Almost all of them are cognates (they have the same origin, therefore are similar in spelling, even though they might sound different)

| Months are masculine |
el noviembre, el febrero (the article "el" is only used when you have specific dates: Nací el 5 de marzo. |
